It is a great blessing to have this opportunity to address the ministry and share a part of my testimony, how God has allowed me to be here. First, I want to thank God for all He has done in our lives and in our family.
To begin, I come from a humble family in a village that has faced hardship in every way. I grew up without my father, and my mother was a very strong woman. I grew up in a very Catholic family. In June of 2010, the first group of Americans arrived in our village to serve for a week. I know some of you remember that access was quite difficult back then, but thanks be to God, you were able to go. I was about 20 years old and, like many young people, I grew up with vices—not terrifying vices, but vices that are not good and that bring destruction. On the last day of the group’s activities supporting the village, they showed a movie and after the movie, they gave a short message. At that moment, God touched my heart. That day, I accepted the Lord into my heart. Following my salvation, Brother George began visiting the village every eight days to provide discipleship for those who had reconciled and those who had accepted. At that time, I was the only one who had accepted the Lord in my family for the first time, and that’s how I grew spiritually. From that day forward, I gave up my vices, and I attended every meeting. I was there to learn from the Lord, to continue getting to know Him better, and it was truly wonderful how God began to work in my life, to change my life, and not only mine, but others’ as well. It was also during this time the Lord provided me the opportunity to serve with Brother George and the IMB, joining in construction trips, the medical brigade and around the property sharing with others the love of Christ.
In 2013, the desire to go to a Bible seminary was born in me. I remember the first conference I attended; George invited me. It was at the Faith Conference. I spoke with some people there, and they told me, “This is a Bible seminary.” Later, I spoke with George and told him that I felt the desire to be able to go to that seminary, but I didn’t have the financial resources, and he supported me financially to attend. I started going to the seminary, and I also started serving at the church in Potrero, working with the children, meeting with the brothers and sisters, and beginning to share the word of the Lord, and it was a very wonderful time in my life.
In 2014, through sharing the gospel and the visible transformation of the Lord through me, God touched the hearts of my family as well. However, there was some rejection, and initially my family faced resistance but they came to the Lord and are now active in the church. In 2015, I met my wife at a retreat at the Bible seminary. In 2016, I spoke with Brother George about my desire to get married and find a place where we could both live and serve the Lord, I asked if the IMB would rent me the house at the property. George told me they were considering a family to come and support them at the property, but he didn’t know which family, but they were praying to the Lord for a family to come and support them. After some time, George approached me about working with the ministry and supporting him with teams. The next week I left my village and moved to the property, God allowed me follow my desire to continue serving the Lord. In August of that year, I graduated from the Bible seminary. In November, I married Ledubina and she joined me at the property where we began serving the ministry more as husband and wife.
Three years later, in 2019, George left for the States, and we were left in charge here at the ministry, but then the pandemic hit, so nothing was happening for a year. In 2020, we began working with some churches in villages, including children. The ministry supported us with funding for all these activities. In 2022, we started holding retreat conferences for children and youth, and continuing activities in villages. As always, the ministry has continued to do this, thanks be to the Lord. God has always opened doors, and we have been able to carry out all these ministries, and thanks to the ministry and to you all, without whose help it wouldn’t be possible.
In 2023, as teams began returning to Honduras, we started planning everything: the visits to the villages and all the activities with the groups. During this time we regularly visited two villages, Potrero and Semane, to share the gospel, supporting the churches and carrying out projects. During this time we were also performing maintenance here on the property, traveling to the villages, and planning activities with other churches that we join together to do. We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the ministry for all the support they have given to the villages of Yamaranguila. We know that through the ministry and the support of their offerings and those of other groups who come to do different activities, many schools, churches, and many families have been blessed by the vision the ministry has had, by their hearts in establishing this ministry here to serve the churches, the schools, and anyone. It has truly been a great blessing to see families blessed, families grateful, families who have received benefits from the ministry, and we are truly grateful because God has been working through you. Low-income families have benefited from your support and donations that come from your hearts. It has been wonderful to see these blessings.
So, brothers and sisters, we are truly grateful for your desire to bless families, to show the love of Christ through your offerings and your work. On behalf of myself and our family, we want to express our deepest gratitude for your financial support. You can’t imagine how truly blessed we have been by God and by you. Being here has been such a great blessing to receive your offerings. And not only that, but spiritually as well as materially, we have been more than blessed, and we are more than grateful to you for allowing us to be part of the ministry and for allowing us to receive your prayers and for the many ways in which we have seen the Lord’s hand at work. I know I don’t know some of you, but I pray for you, for the ministry, and for the leadership every day. We know that Satan has always tried to destroy, but what belongs to God belongs to God, so all that remains is to thank you for everything you have been to us, for allowing us to be part of the ministry that God has led you to here in Honduras, and to serve the Lord. We are very grateful for the trust you have placed in us. As long as God allows us to be here and be part of the ministry, and as long as you allow us to be here, we always want to do it for the honor and glory of the Lord, not for ourselves, but so that the Lord may be glorified and honored in everything.
All that remains is to say thank you. May God continue to bless each of you, the leadership, and the church in general. May God continue to bless you, may God continue to open doors for the Lord’s work and for sharing the love of Christ, which is the most wonderful thing we can do. God bless each of you, may God keep you, we love you in the Lord. We are grateful once again to you for being part of the ministry and the Lord’s work. Thank you very much, greetings, God bless you.
